• Welcome

Africa produces some of the most beautiful gemstones in the world, but few are processed locally. We want to change that!

My colleague Aline and I are developing a project in Rwanda to teach gem cutting skills to women and men. Would you like to hear more? We need partners! Please reach out via the "Let's Connect" button.

A little about me: I'm a gemmologist & novice gem cutter, with a decades-long career in the mining industry. I love to travel and write about gemstone miners and lapidaries. I've also been engaged on capacity-building projects. My articles and project summaries are free to download below.
